How to Play Quarantine Zone: The Last Check for Beginners
In this game, you play as the commander of the last checkpoint amidst a zombie pandemic. Your mission is to inspect survivors and make decisions: Trust, Quarantine, or Liquidate.
Basic Control System (PC):
To master the machinery and screening tools at the checkpoint, you need to know the following keyboard shortcuts:
- Left Mouse (L-Click): Interact with documents, tools, sign orders, or press function buttons on the desk.
- Right Mouse (R-Click) / Tab Key: Quickly open the tablet to order supplies or upgrade weapons.
- Spacebar: Quickly activate the scanner or UV light to detect bite marks hidden under clothing.
- Q/E keys: Switch between testing instruments.
- WASD keys: Move the viewing angle or control the combat drone when the alarm sounds.
How to Identify an Infected Person
To avoid making wrong decisions that could lead to a bitter outcome, you need to memorize the following accurate screening rules:
1. Check Eyes and Skin:
-
Trust: Yellow eyes or red skin are completely normal.
- Quarantine: Pale skin is an unclear sign and requires isolation for further monitoring.
- Liquidate: If the subject has bright red eyes or skin that has turned completely green, eliminate them immediately.
2. Listen to Breathing:
- Sickly Breath: Mild wheezing; this is still a safe symptom in a healthy person.
- Nonspecific Respiration: Severe wheezing accompanied by gurgling sounds. This is a dangerous orange symptom; place them in quarantine.
- Infected Breath / Zombie Growl: The characteristic roar of a zombie. The subject is fully infected; proceed with elimination.
3. Quarantine Management:
- When placing subjects with suspected symptoms in quarantine, you need to monitor them closely for 2 to 3 days.
- If symptoms worsen or new signs appear after this time, they are infected. Be cautious, as fully infected individuals can transform into actual zombies and threaten the safety of the entire quarantine area!
How Long Does It Take to Play the Game?
Depending on your play style and how you manage your base, the game completion time will vary as follows:
- Main Story: Approximately 10 hours to complete core missions and normal duty days.
- Story + Sides: Approximately 12 hours if you want to delve deeper into the survivor event branches.
- Completing 100%: Will take you 16 hours or more to unlock all upgrades, hidden endings, and special outfits.
When Will Streamer CaseOh Appear?
One of the things that excites the gaming community the most is the unexpected appearance of the "heavyweight" streamer CaseOh.
Tip for finding CaseOh: This hilarious streamer will randomly appear as a "survivor" entering your checkpoint later in the story (usually from mid-game onwards). During dialogue, this character will have incredibly funny lines typical of CaseOh. You can choose to experiment on him or place him in your base to dramatically increase your base's food consumption!
FAQs
How do I unlock the Secret Ending?
The Secret Ending requires you to keep certain story characters alive through the weeks, while also completing the max upgrade of your drone defense system on the final day without making any mistakes (0 errors/0 mistakes).
What happens if I mistakenly send an infected person to the Trust?
If you mistakenly send an infected person (or an unidentified zombie) to the safe zone, the base's "Infection Rate" will skyrocket. By the end of the day, they may completely transform and attack other NPCs, resulting in significant resource loss or a Game Over.
How can I get more budget to upgrade my equipment and tools?
The budget is allocated based on your accuracy each day. The more correct decisions you make (letting the right people through, isolating the right disease, eliminating the right zombies) and the fewer mistakes you make, the more bonuses you will receive from the organization to upgrade your scanners, weapons, or hire more guards.
